Fragment of a rare page from a large Qur'an in kufic script Ink and red pigments on vellum Near East or North Africa, 9th - 10th century 29.9 x 21.6 cm This fragment of a Qur'an page features powerful kufic calligraphy in five lines. A folio from a similar Koran is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum (inv. 2004.268). It is attributed to the Levant region. [Manuscript] Ottoman Qur'an, probably circa 1880, over 400 pages handwritten in black ink and ink, book ruled, numerous glosses, some gilding to first few leaves. Re-used binding (?), full basane, spine completely rebound, spine ends weak.

Hussein, Mohammad Ibn - Quran 18th century - - - 1779-1780 - 15 cm - hardcover Number of pieces: 1 Pages: - Ottoman Quran, written in 1193 of the hijri calendar (1779-1780) and attributed to Mohammad ibn Hussein, student of the famous calligraphy master Hussein ibn Ramadan "Al-Habbala". Illumination with gold ink.
