Joos de Momper (Antwerp, 1564-1635) and Jan Brueghel the Elder (Brussels, 1568-Antwerp, 1625) Winter landscape. Oil on canvas. A common practice in Flemish painting was the collaboration between painters in the realization of the same work. One of the most relevant was that of Jan Brueghel the Elder and Joos de Momper. Brueghel was in charge of painting the figures and Momper the landscapes. Reference bibliography: "Les peintres flamands de paysage au XVIIe siècle: des précurseurs à Rubens", by Yvonne Thiéry and Michel Kervyn de Meerendré. Éditions d'Art Lefèbre et Gillet. Brussels, 1953. A very similar work was sold at Christie's in December 2014. 24 x 33 cm.
