[8] ff, 126 pp, 15-[1] pp, 126 pp, [2] ff-56 pp, 31, 102 pp, [1] bl. f., [2] pp, pp.105-132 (mal ch.133), [1] f. errata. First collective edition, bringing together Greek, Latin and French poetry as well as several prose treatises by the writer and critic Gilles Ménage (1613-1692). The illustration consists of Courbé's mark on the title, a header and lettering on the first page of the epistle, a figure in the text (parrot in a cage) and 3 full-page compositions. Without the frontispiece portrait of the author by Robert Nanteuil. Worm damage to tail cap, pages browned in places. A very fine copy bearing the coat of arms of Louis Urbain Le Fèvre de Caumartin, Marquis de Saint-Ange (1653-1720), Conseiller d'État, with the bookplate of the Saint-Ange library (OHR, 651.)
