Ewer typical of Khorassan production in the Seljuk period, with repoussé and engraved decoration. The cylindrical body is engraved with animals and harpies in four central medallions, surmounted by a frieze of alternating calligraphic cartouches with birds in mandorles. On the horizontal shoulder, a circular frieze alternates medallions with birds and calligraphic cartouches. It is topped by a straight neck adorned with two animals in repoussé, probably lions, and an oblique pourer. Under the base, repoussé decoration forms a flower.
