White enamel dial (small accident), Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, openwork gilt brass hands; gilt brass movement, silver regulator disk, openwork and engraved bridge, verge escapement, architectural pillars. Gold case, back decorated in polychrome champlevé enamel with a couple strolling through a landscape, accompanied by a dog. Bezel engraved and enamelled with flowers. D. 46mm.

In the 13th century, these were frequently decorated with champlevé enamel on copper in several sections. The obverse usually featured a small Christ on the cross in the center, framed by enameled moldings. Most of these pieces have been dismantled over time and now stand alone, as shown here.
