TBE+. 35 X 26 cm In 1974, René Follet published his first realistic series in Tintin, Yvan Zourine, scripted by J. Stoquart. Stoquart also adapted Homer's Iliad for him in comics. From 1978, René Follet animated the adventures of Steve Severin in the Dutch magazine Eppo. In the 1980s, he revived the legendary Jean Valhardi series for Spirou. He then began a collaboration with Editions Lefrancq, illustrating Henri Vernes' Bob Morane and J. Flanders novels. Scripted by Lodewijk, the adventures of Edmund Bell gave rise to a comic book of which he drew 4 albums. His deliberately low-key career, mainly devoted to illustrating advertising material, non-fiction and novels, made René Follet the most "famous unknown" of the great masters of the 9th Art. He passed away in March 2020.
