Description

Libessart Laurent/She-hulk. Original tribute drawing by Jim Steranko illustrating the Hulk's cousin. High-quality work produced for the 2010 Lillle Comics Festival. India ink and colored markers. Signed and dated. TBE+. 45 X 32 cm Laurent Libessart (1978) is a gifted artist who produced his first comic strip at the age of 15! "Les légendes de la Marie Groëtte", based on a script by Jacques Messiant. He was noticed by several publishing houses, who entrusted him with illustrations such as those appearing in the book "Les plus belles légendes du Nord", short stories for their magazines, and drew a few comics for advertising or charities. A gifted portraitist, he is capable of producing highly faithful portraits in just a few minutes. An excellent animal artist, he brings movements to life and puts his talent to good use in comics, in the expressions he gives to his faces and in action scenes. An artist by nature, he sometimes forgets the passage of time. A purist, for this historical comic he becomes more of an archaeologist than some professionals, wanting to understand what he's drawing, he sometimes makes cardboard weapons to explain how they work. He put this into practice in the first two volumes of Casque d'Argis, published by Assor BD. He will then be asked to take over the Moréa series for Soleil from volume 6, with volume 9 due out in 2019. His 2019 schedule is busy, as he has drawn the first volume of Alix origines "L'enfance d'un Gaulois" for Casterman, based on a script by Marc Bourgne.
