Description
Serpieri/Druuna. Original erotic preparatory drawings. Rare. Superb work illustrating the technical mastery of the master of erotic SF. Graphite signed with comments in Italian. TBE+. A4 format
Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri was born in Venice in 1944, and didn't enter the world of comics until 1975, when he produced a few stories for the Italian magazine "Lanciostory". A great fan of Western history, he collaborated on the creation of "L'Histoire du Far West" for Larousse and created the series "I grandi miti del West" for the pages of "Skorpio" (another Italian magazine). These various series immediately established him as one of the masters of realism. In 1985, he radically changed genre with Morbus Gravis, the first volume of the Druuna stories. It was with this 8-volume SF saga that the Italian illustrator made his international breakthrough. He is currently a professor at Rome's art institute.
