Denoël/Arno. Original drawing illustrating the hero. Signed and dated 2000. India ink. TBE+. 27 X 36 cm Jacques Denoël (1963) is a Belgian cartoonist who published the first and only album of Valérie's adventures with Editions Glénat in 1991. A year later, he succeeded André Juillard on the adventures of Arno, written by Jacques Martin and published by Glénat. He rejoined Jacques Martin at Casterman, where he signed works for the Les Voyages d'Alix collection: Les Étrusques and the three titles in the Le Costume antique series. In 2005, he began work on Déesses, again published by Glénat.
