TBE+. 27 X 36 cm Gürcan Gürsel was born in 1959 in Turhal (Turkey) and studied at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts between 1977 and 1981. During his studies, he made his debut at the humor magazine Girgir - for which he worked for 20 years. Over the years, commissions from other magazines such as Çar?af, Firt, Laklak, Avni, Firfir,... followed, and so did the Turkish magazine MAD. Gürsel moved to Belgium in 1988 to work for De Boemerang and Joker éditions. He drew a wide variety of erotic gags for the Dutch adult series Rooie Oortjes. In addition to adult and socio-political drawings, Gürsel has been producing the successful "Les Foot furieux" series since 2004. This was followed by another Top 15 series, launched in 2007 and dealing with American soccer and rugby. In his spare time, he likes to create (naughty) tributes to all the authors of Franco-Belgian comics.
