Kristof Spaey. Original sexy tribute drawing by Nero based on the cover of the album "Het B-gevaar". Beautifully executed in Indian ink. Signed. TBE edge wear. 30 X 40 cm Kristof Spaey (1982) is a Dutch-speaking Belgian comic book artist. He is part of the new wave of Flemish graphic novelists that emerged in the early 2000s. He has never accepted being pinned down to one genre. With Marc Legendre (The Red Knight, Amoras, Sam) he made the thriller Maybe Never Ever. With TV writer Bart Vaessen (W817, Quiz Me Quick, Alter Ego), he made the first Flemish superhero strip for teenagers: Anders. From 2015 to 2019, Kristof published five "coffee tablebooks" under the title Fake Vintage Book Covers. In them, he depicted women for covers of fictional pulp novels. All the portraits in this series were based on a photo shoot. Gradually, his love for photography was fueled and the desire to develop and expand this medium and collaboration with his models. In 2020, this led to her first publication as a photographer. NATURelle invites you out into the world, and the women who walk it can be seen through the lens of a new photographer. Followed in 2023 by her second photo book GLOW. In 2024, Kristof celebrates his twentieth anniversary as a comic book artist. An anniversary he won't let go unnoticed. Stay tuned!
