Frontispiece portrait of the author by Lucien MADRASSI. Off-text drypoints by Jacques BOULLAIRE. 1 autograph fragment reproduced in facsimile. Limited numbered edition. This is 1 of 1,000 numbered copies on Rives laid paper. Enriched copy of the 17-leaf autograph manuscript in ink (recto only), folioed and signed H. BÉRAUD, of the chapter entitled "La cinquième nuit" ("The Fifth Night"). Very good condition, slight rubbing to nerves, hinge of first cover cracked over approx. 1 cm.
