Psyche Fernandino mirror, Spain, 19th century

Made of mahogany with gilded brass applications and two chimeras of carved, stuccoed and gilded wood on the sides. Three drawers at the bottom and three on the back. Possibly the lower base was added later. Original moon with quicksilver losses. Measurements: 185 x 136 x 52 cm Origin: -Gift from the People of Madrid to Manuel Godoy, Prince of Peace. -Collection of the Marquis of Lema. -Private collection, Madrid.
