MINTON (Attributed to), after Pierre-Emile Jeannest (1813-1857) - Servant display forming a centerpiece in white porcelain with large blue and gold fillets, featuring three shell compartments at the base, bracketed uprights flanked by bisque children holding animals, and two circular trays with openwork frieze of polychrome foliage and flower medallions. H. 39 cm, W. 39 cm. Second half of the 19th century (missing upper part and socket, accidents and restorations). Model similar to the one presented at the 1851 World's Fair in London's Crystal Palace and acquired by Queen Victoria. A replica of this piece is now in the Victoria Albert Museum. It was commissioned after the Exhibition by the Museum of Manufactures, then housed in Malborough House, to testify to the greatness of English porcelain.
