A pair of George III Irish silver sugar tongs. Benjamin Taitt, Dublin, c. 1790. The arms with bright cut scroll decoration and shell-shaped terminals, engraved crest to bridge, 14.7cm long. Together with a group of British silver, comprising: a small Victorian basket, Birmingham, possibly 1890, Henry Williamson, of oval form, with scroll floral and foliate border, the sides pierced and repousse decorated with scrolling motifs, 19cm wide; a set of six Edwardian coffee spoons and a pair of sugar tongs, Birmingham, 1909, William Adams, engraved with scrolling floral motifs, the spoons 11.3cm long, the pair of sugar tongs 10.3cm long; an Edwardian spoon, Sheffield, 1903, John Henry Potter, Queen's pattern (filled handle), 18cm long; an Edwardian fruit knife, Sheffield, 1906, Alfred Biggin & Son, with steel blade and filled silver handle, 17cm long; and a plastic pendant (the mounting stamped silver), total weighable silver approx. 7.1ozt (a lot)
