Of shaped, circular form and raised on three claw and ball feet, the foliate and shell decorated border to a repousse laurel band and beaded hexafoil border, the centre engraved with presentation inscription within a flat chased frame, the inscription reading 'Presented with a service of plate & a clock to John Roberts Esqre by the staff of the London and North Western Railway, Dublin, October 1869', 32.4cm dia., approx. weight 27.1ozt
