An 18th century Dutch silver brandy bowl. Leeuwarden, c.1760. Of oval form, the body raised on a pedestal foot and repousse decorated with scrolling floral and foliate motifs, the handles pierced and decorated with figures of a putto with a basket of flowers, stamped with crowned 'O' second assay mark (used between 1807 and 1810), 24.5cm wide (inc. handles), together with: a goblet with applied fruiting vine decoration beneath rim, stamped 13 to detachable foot, 12.3cm high; a shallow Indian or Southeast Asian circular dish, stamped with French swan control mark for 800 standard silver, raised on four bracket feet and richly decorated and with vignettes embossed with animals amidst scrolling floral and foliate motifs, 20.2cm dia.; an Ottoman silver vase, stamped with Tughra mark, the urn-shaped body engraved with monogram and the handles and rim decorated with scrolling floral motifs, the lower body applied with lobed decoration and raised on floral-decorated scrolling feet (one detached, one missing), approx. 12cm high; and a white metal dish with fluted sides, unmarked, 9.8 x 13.5cm, 6cm high, weighable silver (Dutch brandy bowl and circular dish only) approx. 15.2ozt (5)
