France, Third Republic period. Daudeteau model 1895 bayonet sword. Nickel silver handle with longitudinal groove on the left side. It is stamped "3854". White quadrangular blade with a few stains. Steel scabbard, formerly re-bronzed black. 64 cm x (Blade 52 cm). (Good condition).

Straight mounting in line with the blade, finely grooved paulownia spindle, brass pommel and guard chased with scrolls and Asian geometric motifs. Straight steel blade with two cutting edges and median ridge. Tortoiseshell-covered bamboo scabbard with three fittings and two brass suspension bracelets chased in sequence and with chain. 53.5 cm (Blade 40.5 cm). Length with scabbard 59.5 cm. (Wear and minor wear. Good condition).
