Officer's, combat, ceremonial, combat, infantry saber, sample (model) of 1861, for officers and non-commissioned officers, the Armed Forces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Total length - 694mm. The length of the blade with the handle (without sheath) is 655mm. Blade length without handle - 514mm. The width of the blade at the heel is 32mm. Sheath length - 552mm. The reign of the Kaisers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Franz Joseph I (1867-1916) and Charles I (1916-1918). Period of World War 1 (1914-1918). Materials and manufacturing techniques: steel, forging, hardening, grinding, stamping, drawing, wire, wood, shark skin, nickel plating, brass soldering, white (non-ferrous) metal, leather, fabric. The mark is hard to read. Made in Vienna. The saber blade is steel, forged, monocotyledonous, with a slight bend in the strip, with a slightly sharpened inner edge and a sharp double-edged lanceolate combat end, monocotyledonous. The blade blade is covered with nickel-plated layering. A stiffening rib in the form of a sloping butt.
