Moulded and carved oak chest front (cracks), with tripartite decoration representing Africa, bearing in its center a young woman reclining with a stag in a medallion framed by sphinxes, the jambs carved with a hunter and a sinner on foot. 17th century (parts removed). 76 x 151 cm Note: The decoration of the medallion can be compared with the allegory of the four continents engraved by Crispin de Passe de Oude in the early 17th century.
