Date: 19th century Description: The photographed object illustrates a stave church of Scandinavian architecture. The multi-layered roof, the filigree ornaments and the pronounced interplay of vertical components, which indicate a combination of sacred and mythological elements, are characteristic. The photograph shows the old stave church, which burnt down completely on 6 June 1992 after arson.
