Flat desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer, with a large central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers, and two side shelves. The legs are sheathed with two wide flutes. The top and shelves are trimmed with green morocco gilding. Stamped by Pierre GARNIER. Louis XVI period. H. 78 cm - W. 159 cm - D. 83 cm. Restorations, two keyholes to be refixed. Pierre GARNIER received his master's diploma in 1742.

Vase; Possibly DENBAC; c. 1930. Glazed ceramic. Measurements: 13 x 7 x 7 cm. Denbac was a pottery named after its founders, potter René Denert (1871-1937) and merchant René-Louis Balichon (1885-1949). Denbac was founded around 1910 in Vierzon, about 200 km south of Paris, and closed in 1952. Between 1910 and 1938, the pottery collaborated with the Garnier distillery, founded in 1859 (closed in 1974), producing numerous different types of miniature ceramic bottles for Garnier. In fact, Garnier seems to have been known for its enormous variety of bottles.

Nétré, 1853. In-12, stiff vellum, modern title page (contemporary binding). One of Pierre Leroux's rarest titles. After the coup d'état of 1851, and the end of the utopian community of Boussac where Leroux gathered his disciples, the socialist theorist took refuge in Jersey, like Hugo, whose neighbor he was. Here, he attempts to give Jerseyans lessons in socialism and agricultural development.
