in white and black marble, richly decorated with chased and gilded bronzes. The scrolled jambs form two temples with two Corinthian capital columns, each topped by a reclining lion. Each houses an applique bust of a caryatid mounted on a sheath adorned with a trophy. The white enameled dial shows the hours, minutes and quarter minutes in Arabic numerals, as well as the date of the days of the month from 1 to 30. Dial signed "? V. La Croix à Paris", possibly for a watchmaker in the Vanercruse Vanercruse dit Lacroix Late 18th century, revolutionary period.
