in white marble, chased bronze and gilt. The white enameled dial, signed Schmidt in Paris (master watchmaker, 1781), indicates hours and minutes in Arabic numerals. It is set in a balloon, surmounted by a flowering vase. It supports a nacelle holding a bouquet of flowers between two flags. Beaded rows, foliate friezes. The base rests on flattened ball feet.
