Circular yellow gold box decorated with engraved friezes and fillets, the lid adorned with a dendritic agate. Hallmark of the Fabergé workshop. Goldsmith's hallmark of Mikhail Perkhine (1860-1903). Imperial privilege mark of the city of Saint Petersburg. 56 zolotniks (583 thousandths). Imperial Russia, St. Petersburg, late 19th century. Height: 2.5 cm - Diameter: 4.6 cm Gross weight: 47 g. (Very good condition). Mikhail Perkhine was one of Fabergé's best-known master goldsmiths, notably for the production of the emblematic imperial Easter eggs and animals adorned with precious stones.
