JEAN ROYÈRE (1902-1981) (attributed to) Radiator grill and possible "Eiffel Tower" model parapet with network of metal rods in gold-plated spheres. Grille: 33cm x 58cm; Parapet: 24.5cm x 374cm. Circa 1950. Marks of use, parapet later cut into three parts with elements to be reattached. Provenance: Artcurial-Briest sale, May 03, 2002, lot 129b.

Jean ROYERE (1902-1981) Eiffel Tower" coffee table, model created in 1947, in patinated wrought-iron and brass beads, in an upside-down U-shape incorporating a glass slab in the form of a bowl (attached, rods damaged, one side of the table curved). Height 34 cm - length 130 cm - depth 55.5 cm. Provenance: this piece was made for a house entirely decorated by Royère in Plappeville (57), for which the archives of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris hold invoices and plans. History: in 1947, the magazine Art et Industrie organized an exhibition of furniture and objets d'art entitled "La Résidence Française", in which Jean Royère presented the Tour Eiffel coffee table model for the first time.
