Carved wooden figure with painted details titled "Kwahu Eagle Kachina" depicting a winged human form dressed in elaborate indigenous regalia, perched atop a wooden platform carved in the form of a stone or rock surface, 1991. With rectangular glass case and mirror vitrine. Incised and inscribed signature in pencil along the left edge of the underside; incised "Kwahu Eagle Kachina 3"91"" along the right edge of the underside. Katsina (or kachina) dolls are sacred figures crafted in Hopi culture as well as other Native American cultures of the Southwest, representing spiritual beings from their mythology.
