*A PAIR OF MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND IVORY DUCK-FORM BOXES AND COVERS 18TH CENTURY 清乾隆 螺鈿鴨形盒一對 Each box is finely modelled in the form of a duck with its head slightly turned to the side, the mother-of-pearl-inlaid body delicately incised emulating feathers, the backs with a small, disguised covers inscribed 'Qianlong yu wan', the beaks and feet are carved from ivory L: 8.5cm NOTE - A similar one in the collection of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, USA A similar one in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum, accession number 56.32.2a, b, New York, USA
