From then on, he took part in numerous Salons, including the Salons de Mai in Paris in 1961-1962 and Réalités Nouvelles in 1963. His painting oscillates between expressionist figuration and abstract landscapes, maintaining some continuity with Flemish expressionism, and asserting itself through his generous use of material.
