In the "Klasen" exhibition it organized in 1989, Galerie Louis Carré prefaced its catalog with a comment Fernand Léger wrote in 1925: "There is something other than man, animals and plants, there are objects, we must reckon with them. The recognition of the object as a plastic value is the current fact." Klasen draws his inspiration from technology, which he finds comparable to the plant and animal kingdoms, arguing that these three different kingdoms are the result of adaptations, wanderings, outgrowths and developments.
