PUBLIC GARDEN FOUNTAIN BORNE Cast iron, formerly painted, the arched front underlined by a frieze of acanthus leaves, the bent tap overhanging a dolphin with outstretched fins supporting a trident framed by reeds. Drain grate. Early 20th century. Marked " Chappée et Fils, Le Mans ". Height. 85 cm; Width. 32 cm; Depth. 58 cm. Oxidation. The foundry was known as "Chappée & Fils" between 1895 and 1922.
