CRAYON ROD The curved handle, gold-plated ring, monogrammed "M. L.", Malacca rush shaft, iron ferrule. A small recess concealed in the handle allows extraction of a small gold-plated pencil. Signed Brigg London (patent Great Britain 1894 by Dumesnil et Brigg) on the pencil. Late 19th century. Length. 90.5 cm. This type of cane was probably used for betting at racetracks.
