Some superficial rubbing of the binding, a small but not serious bump at the bottom of the 2nd plate. Otherwise a very good copy. Copy on vellum (N°266), from an edition of 560 copies. A brilliant start to René KIEFFER's publishing career... With VINCENT (Raymonde: Campagne. Lithographs by Charles BOULEAU. Paris, Stock, 1943. 22 by 28 cm. 265 pages. Full black chagrin with smooth spine, boards decorated with wheat ears and leaves in relief, of very high quality. Covers and spine preserved, paisley paper endpapers, in lined slipcase. Excellent condition. Limited edition of 290 copies, here no. 198, on Arches laid paper. With 27 lithographs by Charles BOULEAU. This dexterous binding is curiously unsigned.
