Rembrandt, Harmensz. van Rijn (1606 Leiden - Amsterdam 1669). Bearded man, standing leaning against a mound of earth. Circa 1630. Etching on laid paper. Engraved monogram in the upper right corner: RHL 11.7 x 8.4 cm. Framed. Bartsch 151; Hinterding/Rutgers (New Hollstein) 48 I (of III). - Very fine, strong, even and clear impression with small margin around the clearly visible platemark. Discreet foxing in places, the paper somewhat dusty and with slight signs of age and wear. The reverse with insignificant remnants of mottling. Overall in good condition. - Provenance: - unknown collection 'F', not in Lugt. - Collection Paul Davidson (1839- before 1924), Berlin, Lugt 654. R
