Watches TH.PICARD FILS LA CHAUX DE-FONDS '-EXTRA- French chronograph. Reference 442. Hand-wound movement. 18kt rose gold case with 38mm diameter. White dial with laminated leaf-shaped hour markers. Two counters with tachymeter and telemeter scale at end. Small seconds at 9 o'clock. Hours and minutes at center. Rectangular chronograph setting keys. Original winding crown. Non-original strap and buckle. Snap-in 18kt rose gold case back. Plexiglas glass. c. 1950s/1960s. Total gross weight 39.1g approx. Timepiece in excellent state of preservation, probably recently restored. At the time of cataloging the watch appears to be in working order but the movement has not been tested for time accuracy.

Time zone pocket watch made by A. Sandoz-Boucherin in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1900, unusual enamelled dial with six time zones and small second, marked "Déposé No. 4975", in a square blackened iron case, glazed movement with anchor escapement marked "The normal Watch", in working order, case with slight traces of corrosion, dimensions 8 x 4.8 cm. Info: an almost identical pocket watch, only with a round case, is in the German Clock Museum in Furtwangen.
