Siebengeteilte Ikone.

Tempera over chalk ground on wood panel, Russia probably 19th century. 32.4 x 25.8 cm. With 2 slit sponki at the upper and lower edge. The icon shows the Mother of God (of Kazan ?) in the upper left, Christ's descent into hell (farewell to Adam and Eve) in the center and St. Nicholas on the right. In the center a row of 10 saints, including St. George with the dragon on the left, four saints in the center and a standing saint (Nikita ?) on the right. - Inscription faded or partially rubbed off, strong signs of age or use, with chipping or rubbing, plate slightly curved.
