Painter and graphic artist (1919 Dresden - 2000 Plauen), studied 1936-39 at the Kunstgewerbeakademie Dresden, among others under Arno Drescher and 1939-44 with her own studio at the Dresdner Kunstakademie under Ernst Richard Dietze, 1945-46 worked as a decorative painter in Bad Elster, studied 1946-50 at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (HBK) under Wilhelm Rudolph and Otto Winkler, then moved to Plauen and worked as an art teacher from 1951-54, freelance from 1954, member of the Association of Visual Artists (VBK) of the GDR, undertook numerous study trips, including to the Soviet Union and Israel, source: Vollmer, Eisold "Künstler in der DDR" and Frank Weiß "Malerei im Vogtland".

Artist information: German painter, draughtsman and graphic artist (1905 Dresden - 1974 Dresden), initially 1925-27 student at the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts and the Dresden Technical University under Jörg Klemm and Carl Rade, 1927-29 studied philosophy and art history at the University of Leipzig, parallel 1927-32 studies at the State Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Trade (HBK) under Alois Kolb, H. Stolzmann, Bruno Heroux and later master student of Willi Geiger, subsequently worked as a drawing teacher in Leipzig, honoured with the Saxon State Prize and the Holstein Scholarship in 1932, restricted his work and "inner emigration" from 1933, undertook study trips through Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Alsace, Switzerland, Holland and Alsace, moved to Dresden-Loschwitz in 1938 and succeeded Woldemar Winkler as a teacher and director of his private painting and drawing school, appointed as a teacher at the HBK Leipzig after 1945, appointed professor in 1947, teacher of Werner Tübke and others. 1949 dismissed as a result of the "formalism debate", from then on worked as a freelancer in Dresden, 1964 travelled to Bavaria, Northern Italy and Venice, 1968 travelled to Hungary, member of the VBK of the GDR, source: Vollmer, Eisold "Künstler in der DDR" and Internet.
