Convolute of towels and pattern folder Art Nouveau approx. fifteen cloths, c. 1910/20, one original adhesive label pure linen, mostly cream-coloured linen damask with various woven designs of floral and/or geometric motifs, including a group of 6, 4 and 2 as well as five single cloths, occasional coloured embroidered monograms, mostly unused condition with original finish, including brochure with staple binding and twelve similarly patterned linen damask fabric samples, each with original adhesive label and handwritten number, brochure minimally torn, otherwise good condition, dimensions 16 x 31 cm.

Loto à caches France, circa 1860 Loto à caches (France, circa 1860). Varnished mahogany box, size 21 x 11.5 x 16 cm; light fillet framing on top; two small closing hooks on front. The interior is divided into two compartments: one contains 24 game cards, size 18.3 x 10 cm, with metal covers and metal rods for lifting the covers; the other contains 90 numbered boxwood pieces. French lotto game from the Napoleon III period. This is a concealed version of the classic lotto game. There are four sets of six game cards (blue, green, yellow or red rectos); each card is divided into squares, fifteen of which are numbered. These numbered squares have two numbers: one at the top is printed in a large body, the other at the bottom is printed in a small body; between the two numbers is a metal cover that can be folded over either one. When a number is drawn from the bag, the player whose number appears on one of his cards folds back the cover with a metal rod and covers the large number, while the uncovered small number serves as a reminder. A fine example, but as always, some covers are missing (26/36).

In-8, unpaginated paperback (32 pp.), yellow illustrated cover, printed recto only on blue paper with 7 unsigned full-page illustrations. No legal deposit or other record of this publisher. First edition of this curious and rare booklet, whose print run is not announced. Poems by Vassilis Vassilikos (who became world-famous in the early 1970s with Costa Gavras' film adaptation of his eponymous novel "Z"), translated from the Greek by Régis Debray. A rare copy enriched with an E.A.S. from the author.

Ellipsoid plaque with chamfered rim; obverse: two animal-headed attendants flank a seated figure in profile mounted on a curved barque, with birds, stars, crescents and other items in the field; reverse: enigmatic legend 'XAYYXYXBA / XVXBAR ** / AZIXVCBXI / 3.81 grams, 24 mm (1 in.). From the collection of magical objects of the late Mr A. Cotton, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, UK. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate number no.12224-222410.
