I thank you very much for your dear, delightful, fresh soldier's letter and for your splendid poem. My best wishes accompany you on your further journey through life..." - Karl Anton Klammer (1879-1959) was an Austrian officer and later publishing director and translator. Some of his poems appeared in the Berlin magazine Pan as early as 1899 through Richard Dehmel; Bertolt Brecht borrowed longer passages from Klammer's Villon translations for his Dreigroschen opera. - Included: Postcard of the German Schiller Society Marbach after a photograph by H. Widensohler, 1899, with Detlev von Lilicron reading. D
