All to the composer and music teacher Ernst Rudorff (1840-1916) in Groß-Lichterfelde near Berlin, the letter of 17.10.99 with the addressed envelope. The first letter with the wish of a visit; in the second letter she recommends the 14-year-old Elisabeth Lange (1884-1965) for admission to the Königl. Hochschule für Musik. Emma Brandes gave up her promising concert career after her marriage to the physiologist Theodor Wilhelm Engelmann around 1870, but still played in private circles. D
