MEC 731 AG (g 1.11) RRRR Beautiful specimen of this very rare coin of uncertain attribution regarding the issuing mint. Most specimens of this type have only the letters RX F for ReX Francorum on the R/. There are other considerably rarer specimens with globets and letters. This specimen has two globets and the letter V clearly read - SPL

Ebers was an Egyptologist and conducted research trips to Egypt as a student of Richard Lepsius. - Inner joints reinforced, endpapers creased, vol. 1 with vertical crease almost throughout, paper somewhat browned, occasional minor finger spotting.
