Oppermann 1221: "A work of great urgency, inspired by the World War. Edmond Bille (b. 1878) lives in Chandolin (Valais); one of the best Swiss painters and draughtsmen of today. His pictures from the Valais and his woodcuts testify to a great power of representation". - Slightly browned.
