Among the contributors to the Jesuit pupil and later radical anti-Catholic Hoensbroech (1852-1923) were Eduard von Hartmann, Theodor Lipps, Berthold Litzmann, Otto Pfleiderer, Ferdinand Tönnies. The journal covers a wide range of topics, e.g. in volume 5 we find articles on the tasks of representation (Hoensbroech), the separation of the churches from the state (Sabatier), Christian trade unions (Brachvogel) or Tennyson as a women's rights activist (Julie Krahmer).
