(1655 Zurich - 1712 ibid.): Alexander the Great riding to the hunt, in the foreground dog handler with pack, , Etching Technique: Etching on Paper, mounted on Paper Date: Description: Seated on horseback and armed with bow and arrow, a young person rides off to hunt. The characteristic lock of hair on his forehead suggests Alexander the Great. However, the feminine features could also be a reference to Diana, the goddess of the hunt. In front, a man leads the hounds. In the background, a troop is riding towards the forest.
