Facsimile of the manuscript MS M.69 of the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York. With 26 full-page miniatures and 37 ornamental text pages with architectural borders. 2 vols. (Facsimile and commentary). Orig. leather a. orig. cloth in orig. cloth case with gilt vignette. - One of 550 numbered copies. - The manuscript was created in the period 1537-1546, commissioned by Cardinal Alessandro Farnese. The decoration was done by the artist Giulio Clovio. - With detailed scientific commentary and contributions on the content, structure and history of the manuscript as well as its significance for art history. - Very well preserved, near mint condition.
