Goedecke V, 431.9 - First edition, also published under the subsidiary title "Episoden aus Reisen durch das untere Italien in den Jahren 1809-1810" as vol. IV. The Danish writer of German origin Friederike Brun (1765-1835) traveled through Switzerland and Italy for several months in 1795, which is the basis for her descriptions. - Slightly browned and stained.
