Allers,C.W. Behind the scenes (of the Circus Renz). I. Theil. Hbg, Dahlström (c. 1890). Gr.4°. With 24 mounted. Illus. plates after drawings. 1 sheet. Loosely bound in illustrated oilcloth portfolio. (backstrip renewed, rubbed). Original edition (not the frequent circus variant). - The motifs show scenes from the Renz circus, including portraits of performers, artistic interludes, tricks, dressage, a view of the circus that burned down in 1887, etc. - Card covers somewhat stained.

Bause, gouache on panel, fine rococo maiden in a deeply decorated dress with feathered hat, against a light blue background, framed behind glass in an oval, the surrounding wooden frame elaborately decorated with gilded brass ornamental parts in an architectural look and crowned with a ribbon, with stand on the reverse, dimensions 14 x 21 cm.

Choice, embossed model no. 73394, maker's number 27 with year mark for 2004 and brush no. 2811, naturalistic moulding with polychrome under- and overglaze painting, boy standing on a round base with sledge support holding a few snowballs in the crook of his arm and one in his right hand outstretched backwards to throw, good condition, h 13 cm.
