Porcelain sculpture "Johannes Gutenberg". Cookie porcelain sculpture of the famous Johannes Gutenberg from Mainz, the inventor of letterpress printing with movable lead type and thus the founder of worldwide communication media. This 44 cm high porcelain sculpture was produced around 1975 by the renowned Spanish porcelain manufacturer "Rex" as a one-off order in a quantity of less than 100 pieces! An extremely decorative exhibit for any library, bookshop, office or home and any exhibition on the history of book printing. - Porcelain Sculpture of Johannes Gutenberg by "Rex Porcelain Manufacturing" Spain, c. 1975. Produced in a limited edition of 100 only, the figure depicts the father of printing, inventor of the printing with moveable types back in c. 1450, leaning against his press, a volume in his left hand, 17 ? in.
