KIURINA Berta (1882 - 1933) KIURINA Berta (1882 - 1933) OPERA - KIURINA Berta (1882 - 1933) - Photographic portrait with autograph dedication Photographic portrait with autograph dedication (at the verso) signed, dated “10 VIII 1917 Wien” of the Austrian soprano. She was engaged by Gustav Mahler at the Vienna Court Opera and sang there from 1904 to 1929. She appeared on major stages in Europe, making guest appearances at the Salzburg Festival in 1927 and at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires in 1928. As a concert soloist, she also performed in contemporary works, for example she was considered an excellent interpreter of Schönberg's Gurre-Lieder . In 1922 she appeared as a soloist in the world premiere of Hans Pfitzer's cantata “Von deutscher Seele” in Berlin. (8.5 x 14 cm). - This item is under temporary import.
