Unique collection of plates with photographs of sculptures by the Franciscan and sculptor Hugo Linderath (1828-1906). Compiled on the occasion of Linderath's death and presented to the Thuringian Order of St. Elisabeth by Wencelaus Straussfeld (1867-1933), founder of the Saxonia Franciscan Missionary Association. - Magnificently designed wooden book case covered with leather and linen. Cover with colored emblem and blind embossing. Inserted are 40 plates (1 portrait, 39 illustrations of sculptures in black and white) glued onto cardboard. Binding rubbed and bumped, most of the cover detached from the rest of the cassette. Former library copy with stamp inside and library signature on cover in good condition. Paper darkened with age and fingerstained at edges. D
